1 - What pressure in pounds should I apply to tight the camshaft nuts ref. 07 12 9 902 630?
2 - There is a tic-tic noise more or less in the middle of the head and when I connect it to the computer gives the following message "vanos mechanically stuck", how would I know when the vanos is damaged (what should I look for after I remove it)? Or could it be the Hydraulic valve lifters?
I am at 3000Km from the only BMW workshop in Mozambique and I'll have to do the repair by myself.

The camshaft nuts are torqued to 15nm for the 6mm and 20nm for the others
The VANOS unit will need to be rebuilt or replaced, go to Roadfly, com and read the boards on the vanos issues with the M52TU VANOS
