1998 Audi A6 Overhead Console & Visor Vanity lights

My overhead console & visor vanity light work on and off. They all work or they all don't. The overhead console lights do work when you open a door, even when they won't work with the console light switches. I'm thinking a module problem. If so which one and where is it located? Thanks

I checked my wiring diagrams and it looks like the power circuit in common with the visor and map lights is red with yellow, and the ground is a brown wire at the lower a-pillar. The first step is to verify power and ground at the visor or map lights.
