I drive a 1998 ACURA CL 2.3 check engine light went on for the egr valve I replaced it twice, the light went off n about a week later it went back on. I cleaned the passage way and it went off then about a day later returned reading the same code p0401. How can I fix this problem?

You need vacuum and exhaust at the valve for it to work

common for the passage to block up. Need to clean all the way back to the throttle body.

Chances are the valve was never the issue
