Cost of engine service

Engine compression low on two cylinders, possible burnt valves, what is the total potential cost from servicing the head to a rebuild for all parts and labor? Possibly water entered motor from
steam cleaning. Check engine light flashing, of course. Thank you.

Who is going to do the work you or a shop? If you get a wrecking yard engine you can pick them up for around 600 or so. If you buy a rebuilt engine with a warranty that can cost 1600 or more for just the engine.
