Ok I had some wires short out on the EGR tube.

Ok I had some wires short out on the EGR tube only three of the wires burnt though. Hookup code reader code that came up
P3040 now I have replaced the camshaft sensor, starter, PMC,
and the wireing harness from the pmc to the starter and the check engine lite still wont go out so I can not smog the car
help.

Did you repair all wiring? Did you check the other wiring? You may have burnt out the pcm from short. Have a shop verify it for you

Yes I check all wires and fuses. The car will start and runs good
its just the check engine lite wont go off
