Lately I have to press the accelerator to the floor to start the engine. I turn the key and nothing happens so I have to press the accelerator down all the way and finally it turns over. I used to be able to just press the accelerator easily and it would start right up.

Check for vacuum leaks and check the idle air control valve, (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle and may not be allowing air to enter the engine.

You can also try cleaning your mass air flow sensor, and clean your throttle body. Then disconnect both battery cables, touch them together to reset your computer. This will make your engine relearn its "driveability" functions.
