Instrument cluster

I just put a new to me insterment cluster in my 1997 grand am and now the theft system wont let me start the car. How do I make the car recognise this new cluster?

It needs to go to a dealer to identify where the problem is coming from. THey are only ones that have the correct equipment to diagnose the problem.

Anyone know where you can get a new instrument cluster for a 96, 97 or 98 Pontiac Grand am.?

Hello Denis,

I don't know if you can get a new one but I would call the dealer in your area or check ebay. Next I would call a wrecking yard you can get one cheap.
