Do I need a new transmission

I have a 97 grand voyager its 3.3liter engine it was shifting hard then it shifted really hard and just reved and wouldnt move it drives now but I think its stuck in 2nd gear the check engine light came on and the codes are po733 gear 3 incorrect ratio po720 sensor circuit malfunction and po700 transmission control system malfuction. What should I do?

You will most likely have to have it re built. It is an internal failure.

Rebuilding is around 1200-1500.

I dont believe in used trans. You have no history, no warranty and if the used one is no good, you have a second labor charge as a shop installing used parts gives no warranty on that part.

I am in central pa.

Call around to trans shops and ask them. With todays economy, most places have plans. They will require 1/2 down and will finance for about 30-60 days.
