Was the charging system tested on the vehicle? Any charging system trouble codes? Even if the alternator tested ok, what about the charging system wiring circuit?

Just to add, you should be able to get some codes by using the mil on the dash. I don't know if the codes will help anything?

You turn the key just till the dash lites come on, no further. Cycle the key on--off, on--off, on, then the mil on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. There were 4 or 5 codes listed for the charging system, in the database.

From where I sit, I have no idea what happened, unless it had to do with your ignition switch? So, the charging system is ok? The battery has a full charge? No driveability issues?

Were there any trouble codes?
