I am getting a lot of exhust smell in the cabin coming through the heater vents. It is much worse in stop and go traffic than on the highway. Defrost seems to be worse than low or mixed vent. How do I trouble shoot this problem?
Thank you,
Gavin

MAYBE YOUR HEATER CORE IS LEAKING?

AT 1ST, IF IT'S SLOW---EVIDENCE MAY BE HARD TO DETECT

IF IT GETS A LITTLE WORSE---YOU MAY SEE "COOLANT" DRIPPING OUT OF THE A/C DRAIN HOLE (FIREWALL IN FRONT OF THE HEATER) A WHITE PAPER TOWEL LAID ON THE FLOOR BENEATH IT MAY SHOW THE COOLANT COLOR

THE FIREWALL BRINGS ME TO ONE OTHER EZer TO FIX POSSIBILITY---SOMETIMES WHERE THE HEATER HOSES CLAMP TO THE HEATER CORETHE CLAMPS ARE TOO BIG OR NOT TIGHT ENOUGH. RADIATOR JUICE MAY SLIP OUT AT THE CONNECTION AND DRIP INTO THE HEATER BOX

KEEP US POSTED ON WHAT YOU FIND
