Car turns over but will not start

When I hook up the actron cp9575 scanner the car will start right up and then with the scanner removed runs fine. There are no codes showing or engine lights on. Any suggestions of where to start?

Check to see if there is power to the coil with the scanner off. Something is leading me to believe there is a wiring issue, could be from switch, that isn't sending power only at start up. However, the scanner is somehow allowing that power to pass and run the engine.
