Hi we have a 1997 c180 classic for about 3 years ( approx 15000 kms) we have had a small amount of oil appearing in the overflow reservoir naturally we thought it was a head gasket but the car has been running as usual no overheating and no loss of power until a week ago when it started to idle rough pulled out the ignition coils and found one was faulty. This will explain the rough idle but does not explain the oil in water. Our next thought was a crack in the oil cooler ( tynans motors informed us this model does not come with a oil cooler ) is this the case or is there a oil cooler. Were now heading back to the head gasket ANY THOUGHTS love to hear
regards Phil
