My daughter's car, the alternator was not working per Auto Zone. Purchased a new alternator and had it installed. Next they said it need a battery, purchased a new battery and had it installed. Now I'm told that there is a short somewhere. How do I locate the short?

If auto parts says it's a short they have no idea cause they dont' work on them like a mechanic does. So in short never believe them unless it's for parts. Shorts are best left to the pros cost you less and less in aggravation as well getting it back a hell of a lot sooner. Check the fuses in fuse boxes pointed out. It may be that.
