How are the front turn indicator lights accessed on a 1997 Lexus ES300? I find a bolt and a phillips head screw retaining the headlight assy. But there is something else preventing me from removing the light assy.

1. Remove Engine trim under hood
2. Remove Phillips screw attaching side marker to front headlamp (near front corner of vehicle close to fender top.
3. Slide side marker forward, towards front of vehicle. Force may be necessary. This can be done by pressing flat head screwdriver against black trim of sidemarker where it meets the fender. Taking care to not scratch the metal of the fender, strike the base of the screwdriver with the heel of the palm, to push marker forward.
4. Marker slides rignt out (largely held in place by friction.
