I have had my abs light on for a few days, had a check and it came back as a fault in the ABS Module. However several times before I had my dashboard instruments just go off, and when I banged the top of the dash they all came on again. Also this time my abs light hasn't come back on since I banged the dashboard, is this somehow connected to the actual abs light? I don't want to buy another abs module is there issue an issue with the dash board unit.

Do not assume it needs an abs module if the light is on that is the last thing you would do after all the sensors need to be checked.

Yes, the cluster can cause this issue. You may have a failing cluster or the connector may be the issue hooking to the body harness
