Why is my car acting funny when the A/C is on?

WHY IS IT WHEN I TURN MY A/C ON IT STARTS TO SQUEAK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND MAKES MY RPM'S JUMP UP AND DOWN LIKE ITS STALLING OUT? But when I dont have the A/C on it runs perfect.

The compressor could be locking-up

Or the IAC/throttle body is dirty resulting in too low idling speed which would result in the compressor cycling on and off and almost stalling conditions.
