1997 K-1500 I'm driving along. Go over a small bump or rough patch of road, a rubbing sound emits from underneath the truck. It goes away when speed drops. Random event It's a rolling rubbing sound. Non metallic in nature. Almost like rubber rubbing on metal. Have checked all rotating parts for wear. None found

Check the inner fender liners for signs of wear. They are held in with push clips mostly that will give out over time and allow the inner fender to come asway from the body and set closer to the tire. Then when you turn or hit bumps it scrapes. It will get to the point where the inner fender well will start to catch the wheel and come off, even while driving. This often gets it stuck into places that can cause damage.

I've checked everything I could think of underneath the truck. Anywhere the body could possibly come in contact with any rotating parts, with the high mileage, a mechanic mentioned the possibility of it being a Hub bearing that is worn and when shaken a bit starts to make noises?. As I said before it doesn't sound metallic, but who knows with Phantom noises

If it is a noise that seems to shange with wheel speed, it has to be something rubbing up against the tires.
Look around in each fender area or anywhere that tire might contact undr load.
A bad wheel bearing sounds worse when you make a turn, usually.
