Acts like old car with points bucking

Gmc sierra 1997 4.3 -- found 1 and 3 plug wires crossed. Now it has a miss how do I isolate the miss. Engine was running rough bucking etc like a older motor with bad points. Changed wires, plugs. Cap, rotor. I the process found wires 1 and 3 crossed. Now I have a solid miss. How do I isolate the miss?

Take a test light and touch it to the wires in the cap till you find the wire that does not change the sound of the motor. Then you need a compression test to check that cylinder.
