I emailed yesterday about our car dying when we stop accelerating, after we replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump, you emailed me back with the following:

" Clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and check fuel pressure with a gauge if it's a V6 it should have 60-66 psi if not it may be a regulator. It should hold with in 5lbs for at lest 5 minutes. After key off."
My question: is the regulator in the fuel pump we just replaced or is the regulator a separate part we need to replace? The PSI checked at around 38 with the new fuel pump

Not enough pressure was it the correct pump? Your regulator will be where one of the two arrows are either on top or inside manifold. It willlook similar to the pic. It may have a snap ring holding it in place or a clip
