There is no engine light or codes coming up, but there is a bad skip. Feels like an injector cutting out but shows "no fault". I have noticed that I smell gas strong in the cab especially right after pumping but I can't find a vacuum line or hole to cause the issue. Any ideas?

To me it sounds like your in real bad need of some plugs and wires, and maybe a coil pack check. Normaly this will throw a miss fire code depending on the system. As far as the gas smell, e-vap system leaking, hole in tank up high, leaking fill hose or vent hose. By the way a bad injector will not show up in code form you have to check it by its self.P.S make sure its not leaking gas out of the fuel rail or fuel hose, or fuel filter.

My neighbor had a used coil pack that I put on today. The problem seemed to stabilize to skipping only during acceleration. It is a dead miss/stutter. I will purchase a new pack just in case there is a similar problem with the used one. A hole high in the tank is suspect and I will check that too. I will take your advice and do a through tune up and post the results.
Thanks
