What would cause the alert chime to ring continuously?

The chime to alert you to fasten the seat belt or remove the keys from the ignition when you leave the car runs all the time while the car is running. It will occasionally stop for a minute or so and then will start chiming again.

Faulty wiring. Or the door might not be completely closed. There is a little wire attached to your seat belt (the part you put the seat belt into) the sensor might be bad on that, or check the wiring on the button that is pressed when the door is closed, it should be on the inside of the door closest towards the front of the car, its nothing major, just a fault in a sensor or wire

Is the door ajar. Light on? If not scan for B codes to check the modules.
