1 day old alternator and battery wont charge when it is running?

What have you checked? Have you measured the voltages on any of the wires? Have you checked the fuses? Does the battery warning light turn on when the ignition switch is turned on?

It could be your key ignition parts worn out, if you can get it to start up and run, turn your blower fan motor to high or where you could hear it, if it doesnt come on, turn the key back a lil bit or wiggle it till it does, then you know your problem because when the ignition fails like that, it wont let the altenator charge the battery
