Cold start

97 ford explorer change my spark plugs and wires but when I start the car and turn on it turn off unless I keep put my foot on the gas once it warm up the car is good but I shouldnt have to keep my foot on the gas in order to keep it running

Check for vacuum leaks. Check the idle air control valve. IF the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Many parts stores will scan it for free.
