97 ford explorer --dash brake light goes on----brake pedal goes to floorboard when pushed? What might it be? What do you think it should cost to fix it?

Check for external leak if none-Check the brake master cylinder fluid level if low fill it and bleed the brakes if it continues could be an internal leak with the master cylinder
