1997 Ford Escort Ignition Sticking

When starting my escort it does not spring back. I have to manually turn it back so as not to burn the starter. Do I need to replace a part or can this be repaired?

Replace the entire switch or just the tumbler?

The part may have both but the spring is in the ignition switch. If you want try some wd40 in tumbler see if that helps.
