Speedometer not working and doesnt shift

Recently I replaced the battery on the van and since then the speedometer doesn't work, the transmission wont shift out of low and the gear selector shows squares around ALL possible gears. I replaced the output sensor and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

There's also an input speed sensor. Both are used to calculate road speed for the speedometer. When all of the indicator lights are on, there's a problem with the "PRNDL" sensor on the transmission. Given the recent history, I'd be looking at the wiring on that switch. It's right below the battery.
