1997 Chrysler Town and Country transmission valve body

I changed the neutral saftey switch put the valve body back in the shifter arm was stuck so I pulled the valve body back out and it got stuck about half way out now I cant push it up or pull it out what can I do to fix this problem?

Try lubing it where it comes out of the case and move up and down to see if it wil free up. Then change the oring or seal and make sure shaft of valve body that comes through case has no rust or dirt on it.

Hey it worked thank you very much it took about 30 minutes to do but I got it out was able to slide it back in. Now the only thing is I have reverse neutral drive 3 and L I don't have park so I have to turn the shaft a little bit to try to get it in park. I drove it for a while and had no problems with it shifting so thought I'd let you know thanks a lot it was a big help.
