Replaced egr valve drove the car about 40 miles it jerked going up hill and the check engine light came back on codes say egr valve not working.

Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. What is the exact code number?

Autozone did not give me the code number all they said it was egr valve circunt

That's the system that needs to be diagnosed to see what's not working or is plugged with carbon.
