4L60E eletronically controlled tranny

My tranny will shift into first and second, but will not shift into third gear. It also revs high when trying to shift into third.

If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Also, make sure the trans fluid is clean and full. It could be a few things. If there are trouble codes found, they will direct you to what you need.

Scan the computer for code/s. How's the fluid level and condition? Its possible a shifting solenoid is hanging up or a clogged valve body -Consult with a transmission specialist
