On a '97 GM 3800 what would you suggest to do to resolve the well known problem of anti-freeze in the oil? Who's product do you suggest and would you do just the gasket sets or change the intake plenum etc? Thank you.

Just installed a replacement engine with a little under 85k on it, but before the problem comes up again I want to prevent it. Best solutions?

This may have had bad intake gaskets which may have lead to antifreeze in the oil. That gasket problem has been solved so just change your oil at least 3 times a year along with a filter and keep our air filter clean like once a year unless you live in a dusty area then twice a year. A dusty area would be a gravel/sand road even if only two blocks long. Use a good quality oil or synthetic if you want to go with the cost. You should do okay then.
