Losing power

Car has plenty of power when only giving a little throttle.
when it is about half throttle it loses power, if it is floored it will kick down and pick up speed, seems to only be around half to 3/4.
has new wires and plugs, new air filter.
no check engine light.

Can you check for codes. There might be a pending code that might help. You might want to remove the mass air flow sensor its in the air stream of the air intake. Clean the fine wire with alcohol and a swab. This sensor can cause this problem and not set a code. If you have a scanner check your calculated lode under wide open throttle on a down shift from. Gear to first. Should be above 80%. Check this before and after cleaning the sensor. Let me know how this works out.

I couldn't get at the fine wire, most of it is in a plastic sleeve, I replaced the sensor with a new one and it made a huge difference, thank you for your help, you saved me a lot of troubleshooting.
