My car wont crank

My 1997 bmw wont crank. I have a new battery and they told me my starter was good. I left 8 hrs ago to take my kid to school it started fine. I tried to go get my kid and it would not crank thought maybe I left interior on or something but seems my battery has fire? What could be my problem

EWS/DME alignment or the ignition switch.

They say that is it the security system in theft mode and I had to get a new key made from bmw. I did that and it crunk but when I put it in drive it cut off and wouldn't crank again it would only turn over. They are saying its still a problem wit the computer but im not sure is so how expensive is something like that?
