I have a stock vw jetta 2.0 gl 1996 n I constantly race it against other cars of equal performance and I wanted to know if this was bad, my dad gave it to me since it used to b his n he took it to the store yesterday and said that the car was weird. It didnt run like it used to. So?Am I messing the car up?

You are possibly overstressing the car in ways it was not designed for, it is a commuter car not a race car, keep up the racing any you will destroy something.
