That might be a long shot. What is the 8th digit in each car's VIN?

I only know the legacy vin but not the sti vin#

I don't know enough about those cars, I can't help you with that. Just F.Y.I. The 8th digit in the VIN is the code for then engine, so if they are identical, you can swap with no problems.
