where are the transmission solenoids located?

I have an OBD code for the transmission solenoid is bad but i am not sure where it is located. OBD code is 7556. The car's is a 6 cyl. automatic.

That code does look familar and the codes just give a starting point they dont just say replace this or that.Except for a few internal ecm failures etc.The solenoids would be in the valve body.What is the actual code number?It would be a P followed by a four digit number.
