96 Jeep laredo. Heat problem. Blower motor works fine. Very tiny heat comes out. Hose from engine to heater is hot, return hose barely warm. Some sites have said flush out core with a garden hose. Will donate $20 for correct answer that allows me to fix problem

With the engine hot, running, and the heater on, both should hot. If one isn't, the heater core is plugged. When the engine is cold, remove the heater hoses and reverse flush the heater core and forward flush until water is clear and passes through freely.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
