I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, Inline 6, 4.0L, 4x4, and it will not start. The engine will not crank let alone turn over. Battery is fully charged. Tested starter/solenoid and it is good. I hear the fuel pump prime when I attempt to start but only clicks, no crank. I've been reading that it could be my crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, ignition coil or even distributor cap & rotor. Anyone have any strong suggestions?

I sorta made this for CJ's, They are my Heart!

Some of this stuff may work for you too.

Some may not make sense, But I believe you will understand!

The only things you did not really clarify were:

1) How do you know FOR SURE Mr. Battery is up to snuff, Did you take it to a Parts Store and have it LOAD TESTED (Can be done at Autozone and Advance Auto for FREE!!!)

2) Where is the "Clicking" Coming From?......Solenoid or Starter or Other????

3) Even NEW STUFF CAN BE BAD!!!!!

Please Investigate the things in this link to another answer of mine,

This keeps me from hunting and pecking all night and maybe you a quicker fix!

Let me know whats wrong, It's usually something you have been overlooking!
