I have a loss of power at low rpm. what could be my problem. i have been told it is probably the head gasket. can you please help

i have to put about an 8th of a gallon of water in my truck everyday. my truck has very little power from idle to about 3500 rpms then it seems to pick up fine. i was told it might be a head gasket. can you help confirm this or have a better solution. thank you

If you are using coolant, there is a good chance it is a head gasket. Have you noticed if the exhaust was a white smoke?
