Removed distributor now it wont run

1996 Honda Civic I had to take the distributor out to get a screw out of the distributor cap and now the car won't even turn over what happened?

Sounds like you didn't installed it correctly, throwing off the valve and igniton timing-

Yes it will-check the primary and secondary winding resistances on it, not up to specs-replace it-

Could you tell me how to check to see if I have a bad coil or not, I do have a meter, I just don't know what to set it on or know what the reading should be.

Pull a sparkplug wire and ground it on the engine, have helper crank engine over-is it sparking with blue fire-if so nothing is wrong with your coil-
