I own a honda civic96 hb dx it has a stock 1.6 sohc motor and a buddy of mine has a vtech valve cover he wants to give to me to "turn" my civic into a vtech. Can I make it a vtech without having to do a motor swap? My email is omar77luciano@yahoo. Com

No I valve cover is just a cover. It does not turn anything into v-tec. If you want a v-tec motor, you need to replace the engine, or at the very least the cylinder head and ECU.
