I had this problem about 2 weeks ago I was driving and my RPM was going up and down like crazy then just went to 0, and I was loosing power. I got it home and I took the alt out and had it checked it was good then I replaced my coil and ignition control module started the car idle for 5 min then the battery went dead, nothing came on like battery light or check engine light. Then if I let it sit for about an hour I can start it fine then the same thing happens. So help please I don't know what it is.

THANK YOU

Sounds like a bad power or earth conection, I would first check all connections are clean and tight.

When engine could not be started, check if the headlights, horns etc are working. If yes, it could be a faulty ignition switch.
