i have a coolant leak. it appears to be coming from just about where the valve cover attaches just above to i believe to be the #2 cylinder. 1st one on the driver side. i have no indication that it is going into cylinder. truck runs fine but i have lost alot of coolant, and it appears that this has been a gradual thing for i have noticed the evidence of coolant sitiing on intake manifold. question is , could this be a bad intake gasket?, manifold?

yes, bad intake gasket. remove the intake manifold and make sure the surface of the manifold on the ends is not rotted away. if it is, replace the manifold
