Why does my rear tires get louder like a plane when I go 40mph?
96 metro geo the faster I go the louder the rear becomes.

First check the tire wear patterns on all the tires, but the typical suspect is a noisy wheel bearing. If both tires on one axle have a choppy pattern, the alignment is off and you may be hearing tire noise.
