1996 for Fairmont ef heater problem

I've got a 1996 forf fairmont ef n the heater is not workin at all but the aircon works just fine. What could be the problem? I was told it might need a new temperature sender thingy? Pls help, I know nothin about cars :( thnx!

You will have to check the heater valve and vacuum line, it is on the L/H/S of the engine low down at the rear, it is a black plastic valve, often the vacuum line falls off.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
