Hi, I am driving a 1996 4.0 6 cylinder Ford Fairmont Automatic. I would like to know which other ford engine can I put on my car since mine is seized and expensive to fix. I want to put something affordable, and hassle free in terms of conversions if I have to, or must I buy a second hand engine

Your operating system and other components are all engineered to one engine. Besides, it's against Federal law to modify it.
