Our machnic replaced a rebuilt starter 3weeks ago. It was working fine but then the car died at my work. The battery is new, when u turn the key all you can hear is a clicking sound. The car does not turn over. Can it be the starter?

Try resetting security system if no manual look online. Also check for loose connections at battery

We I have no security system and we checked the wires for he battery. We were hoping it would be that simple. But we are not sure what is could be. Can it be the starter. Could it go out that fast if it's a rebuilt one? We are reading more if some sites say meda fuse. Can it do this if it's out? The car won't turn on u just hear that click. The light are on.

Check the starter relay it's in the pic that may be the problem also see if it will start in neutral as it may be a neutral safety switch not getting engaged all the way.
