Engine misfire on number 5 cylinder. OBDII code P0300 and P0305. Already has new spark plugs. Wiring, coil, distributor cap good.

Engine runs rough. This happens when the gas tank gets below 1/2 on the gauge. Engine, seems to run lean, cough and sputter, runs very rough. When tank is refilled, engine runs okay. (35.0 gal tank).

P0300 Is a random misfire normally caused by vacuum leaks and bad fuel. P0305 misfire at cyl no.5 check sparkplug, compression and injector-also could be caused by the following.

1. Vacuum leaks
2. EGR and PCV valve.
3. Low fuel pressure.
4. Dirty fuel injectors.
5. Mass Air Flow Sensor.
6. Oxygen Sensor.
