My car says that the number 2 injector is misfiring. I've replaced it, and have had the cylinder checked to make sure it was holding pressure. I've tried pulling off the wires one at a time while the car was running, and it was only the #2 that there was no reaction. So I'm in need of new ideas.

What was the actual code. Did you visually check for spark at the plugs? Did you check for injector pulse, use a noid lite. The autostore sells a noid lite.

There is a code for cylinder #2 misfire. There is another code injector #2 control circuit. You should be able to check mil codes, yourself.

I was talking about a fuel injector. The computer pulses the ground circuit of the injector in order to turn injector on and off. You take the electrical connector loose from injector, plug noid lite into injector plug, engine cranking, watch for the lite to pulse.

To check for mil codes, you cycle the key, turn key till dash lites come on, no further, cycle on--off, on--off, on, then the mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. Let us know what you find.
