1996 Chrysler Other I need help

I have a Plymouth breeze stick shift 1996 car runs great if you can get it to run. About every five minuets it don't matter if you are going seventy or in park the car shuts its motor down no warning or anything. I just bought it from a friend and don't know what to do please help me I am tight on money so that's a issue I know nothing about cars but I do no that its very dangerous to be driving and the car just cut off I can give more details on questions just hit me up
