I am have a misfire in the system that only seems to happen when I am driving down the road on light acceleration. When I go with a hard acceleration or go into 3rd from o/d it goes away. It is not their at idle but once in a blue moon. I replaced the tps, even though it was bad it did not resolve the issue. Could this be a computer problem or the spyder.

Imma CJ guy and answer a lot in the CJ5 & 7 forums

My Wife has a Ford Escape, so I recently submitted a question for it, got several possible fixes----symptoms were the same as yours ('cept I described it as "Jerkyness" when it occurred)

Each thing I attacked made it better

Cleaning IAC sorta did nothing---made me feel better anyway

Replace Plugs and gap correctly--Don't go by what the previous owner claimed (plugs under the intake, very old, gap was a good.020" too much---helped a lot, maybe 70%

Replace / clean the MAF sensor(with throttle body cleaner only) 20% stopped

Cleaning the EGR, topped it off. We're good to go now!

Let me know if this helped
